Climbing Instructor Programs

The AMGA Climbing Instructor Program has served over 22,000 participants since 2007 and consists of two program types: Single Pitch Instructor and (SPI) Climbing Wall Instructor (CWI). These programs are intended for individuals who facilitate climbing experiences, instruct climbing skills, and/or monitor climbing activities. For many people, these programs are their first step in the process of gaining professional training and certification.

AMGA SPI and CWI Programs are offered year round and facilitated by Providers who have been vetted, trained, and licensed by the AMGA to offer these courses and certifications. All Providers hold AMGA certification and most hold multiple certifications. Along with being skilled technicians, they are also among the best educators in the business.
