Additional training/Areas of focus

I have a B.A. in Outdoor Education and Natural History, a Master of Arts in International Mountain Conservation and a CAA Level 2 Avalanche Operations certificate. I love teaching and training guides. I’ve served on the AMGA Technical Commission for many years, was an AMGA board director for 12 years over two terms and had the honor of being the AMGA president and board chair for five years. I am currently on the IFMGA board and vice president of the Technical Commission working with our international colleagues around the world. I’m a climate advocate, a nature lover and people person. I was the humbled recipient of the 2011 AMGA Guide of the Year Award and the 2023 AMGA Lifetime Achievement in Guiding Award.
