Short-roping & Short-roping Transitions | 9:30 am - 3:00 pm | $65.00
Eldorado Canyon State Park, Eldorado Springs, CO

  • Short-roping is part science and part art—fusing the two together to create smooth, efficient movement is more difficult than it may appear. The morning portion of this clinic will focus primarily on 1:1 short-roping techniques and may progress to 2:1 short-roping depending on participant training levels and experience. In the afternoon, participants will learn or review the guided application of common transitions from short-roping to 5th-class climbing, as well as how to reverse those transitions efficiently after tagging the summit.‍

Winter Tune Up Clinic - InfoEx & Avalanche Transceiver Skills Clinic | 9:30 am - 4:00 pm | $30.00
AMGA Office | 3180 Sterling Cir. Suite 201, Boulder, CO 80301

  • The first portion of this clinic focuses on helping guides and operations managers to use the InfoEx platform more effectively. We'll go over strategies for navigating large amounts of data, building effective run lists, and streamlining InfoEx workflows and data entry during AM and PM meetings. We’ll then transition to avalanche transceiver skills, beginning in the classroom with relevant updates, considerations, and a review of key concepts before heading outdoors for hands-on practice, scenarios, and skills training. Depending on participant experience and individual goals, we may split into smaller groups to focus on different needs—from foundational transceiver use to advanced skills and AMGA-specific transceiver drills. This is a great clinic for anyone looking to sharpen their InfoEx and avalanche transceiver skills ahead of the upcoming season!‍
