Mammut AMGA Scholarship
This scholarship funded by Mammut in cooperation with the AMGA is a great opportunity for a working professional guide to advance his/her guiding career. Mammut and AMGA are proud to team up to offer a qualified candidate full tuition towards an AMGA course or exam in 2008. This is a wonderful opportunity to further your education and we look forward to receiving all of your applications.
Criteria for application
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide funding for the continuing education of a qualified professional guide. The successful applicant is a guide who:
- Is a current member of the AMGA
- Is currently enrolled in at least one AMGA program
- Has a minimum of 3 years guiding professionally and is continuing to pursue guiding as a profession
- Is seeking to better his/her guiding skills through educational courses and/or exams
- Will provide a written report on the use of the scholarship as well as provide two photographs (after the course) for Mammut and the AMGA within two weeks of completing the course.
- Will participate in three mutually agreed upon events. During the period of 1/1/08 – 12/31/09. An event is considered a minimum four hour time commitment. Events include, but are not limited to, climbing demonstrations, clinics, time spent at trade shows discussing products, and store visits. Both Mammut and recipient will try to coordinate schedules for travel, so as to minimize expense and time for both parties.
